Roger L Prall Memorial Scholarship

Hadden-Prall Family Foundation Establishes Three-Year Scholarship for Marching Arts Excellence

Tipp City, OH — April 21, 2026 — The Hadden-Prall Family Foundation is proud to announce the establishment of the Roger L Prall Memorial scholarship, a three-year scholarship program in coordination with the The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps, one of the most respected and accomplished drum and bugle corps in the world.

Beginning in Summer of 2026, the Foundation will provide partial tuition funding for two selected performers annually, helping remove financial barriers and providing access to a life-changing educational and artistic experience. Recipients will be selected based on merit, financial need, and acceptance into The Cavaliers.

Honoring a Legacy of Leadership and Excellence

The Roger L. Prall Scholarship was created to recognize and carry forward Mr. Prall’s legacy of commitment to young people. Throughout his life, Roger L. Prall provided guidance, mentoring and musical opportunity for hundreds of young people in the Dayton. Ohio area. Mr. Prall was the founder of the Miami Valley Lancers Drum and Bugle and many of its members went on to march with The Cavaliers.

The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps, based in Rosemont, Illinois, is internationally recognized for instilling musical excellence, discipline, leadership development, and commitment to personal growth through the marching arts. Participation in a world-class drum corps demands extraordinary dedication, talent, and resilience.

“Marching at this level shapes young people in profound ways,” said Michael Prall, President of the Hadden-Prall Family Foundation. “It builds discipline, teamwork, perseverance, and confidence. We are honored to invest in students who are committed to excellence and to helping make this opportunity accessible to deserving performers.”

“We are deeply grateful to the Hadden-Prall Family Foundation for investing in our members and in the future of the marching arts,” said Daniel Belcher, Director of The Cavaliers. “This partnership directly impacts the lives of young performers and strengthens our mission to develop leaders through excellence in performance.”

More details about scholarship criteria and the selection process will be shared with members prior to the upcoming competitive season.
